South Florida Digital Alliance (SFDA) Recruits Cloud Computing Concepts (C3)

C3 Tapped To Help Eliminate The Digital Divide In South Florida

August 12, 2013 (Boca Raton, FL) — The South Florida Digital Alliance (SFDA) has recruited Palm Beach County-based Cloud Computing Concepts (C3) to join the diverse coalition that currently spans major government, healthcare, education, private sector, and non-profit organizations throughout South Florida. As the newest member of SFDA, C3 joins a well-vetted roster of stakeholders that include Microsoft; FiberLight; FPL FiberNet; Miami Data Vault; twTelecom; US Gas & Electric; Florida East Coast Realty; Cities of Miami, Miami Beach, Doral; Knight Foundation, Florida International University, Miami Dade College, Mount Sinai Medical Center, and South Florida Hospital and Healthcare Association. C3 is tasked with providing cutting-edge Cloud technologies, on-site support, and disaster recovery/business continuity solutions to fellow SFDA members while contributing a portion of its revenues, Cloud capacity, and technical staff time to support the SFDA’s mission of bridging the digital divide in South Florida.

Headquartered in Boca Raton, C3 was recognized as a 2012 Florida Company to Watch by the Florida Economic Gardening Institute (GrowFL) at the University of Central Florida. C3’s selection was based on strong employee and sales growth, exceptional entrepreneurial leadership, a sustainable competitive advantage, outstanding corporate culture, inspired community giving and other notable strengths. As a testament to its unique combination of Cloud-based services and custom tailored on-site support, C3 is ranked number 84 among the world’s top 100 cloud service providers (CSPs) in the Nine Lives Media’s second-annual Talkin’ Cloud 100 report.

“With C3 as a partner, the SFDA will be better equipped to position and build respect for South Florida as a competitive game-changing force in the global IT space,” noted James E. Osteen, Jr., executive director of the South Florida Digital Alliance/Miami-Dade Broadband Coalition. “After a multi-year search, we feel that in C3 we have finally found the ideal Cloud and Managed Service provider to assist in reliably delivering the cutting-edge technology services required to foster and support economic growth throughout the region. C3 has demonstrated the community leadership in this area that is critical to furthering our Alliance’s digital literacy, outreach and engagement mission.”

C3 CEO Rick Mancinelli added that everyone at C3 ” from management to technical team members ” is pleased to have been invited to join the impressive, accomplished, forward-focused SFDA membership.

“As a result of the economic challenges of recent times, many organizations are struggling with aging infrastructure, technical talent shortages, and tightening budgets,” he noted. “C3’s unique combination of Cloud services and custom tailored on site consulting and support can help companies, nonprofits, and government agencies overcome these challenges and better position them for future success.” He further noted that, rather than providing commodity IT hardware and support, C3 prides itself on delivering an IT “experience” that is all encompassing, proactive, and designed to meet the needs of each individual client for a fixed monthly fee.

In 2011, C3 grew its revenue nearly 200% and in 2012, the Company expanded its IT and sales teams and added a second Cloud hosting facility in New York City. Since January of this year, C3 has continued to expand its staff, broadened its geographic coverage to include Philadelphia and surrounding Delaware Valley area, and has begun planning for a third Cloud hosting facility in Nevada.

Keep up with C3.
